The current series of Masterchef is entering its final stages, and soon the nation’s greatest amateur chef will be announced by judges Greg Wallace and John Torode.
In tonight’s episode (Wednesday, March 27th) the remaining contestants will be faced with a series of challenges and will work alongside professional chef Vicky Lau at her Michelin star restaurant

Who is Vicky Lau?
Vicky Lau is a mentor on the 15th series of Masterchef UK.
She currently works as the head chef at the Michelin star restaurant, the Tate Dining Room and Bar in Hong Kong.
In 2015, Vicky was named the Best Female Chef in Asia.
How did Vicky become a chef?
Prior to her career as a chef, Vicky worked in advertising and was the creative director of a design agency.
She later took part in a three-month-long course at the Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in Bangkok.
Vicky then decided to enter the world of fine dining by combining her cooking and design skills.
Does Vicky have Instagram?
Yes, Vicky does have an Instagram account. Her username is @chefvickylau.
Although she hasn’t posted much just yet, followers of Vicky can expect to enjoy snaps of her fresh ingredients.

What will Vicky do on Masterchef?
The Masterchef 2019 contestants will be challenged to prepare a dish from Vicky’s tasting menu.
The aspiring chefs will then have to create a dinner at the five-star Kerry Hotel for Vicky, fellow mentor Chef Tak, and other esteemed guests from Hong Kong’s dining community.
The food prepared by the contestants will be inspired by their trip to Hong Kong.
