War Machine, formerly known as Jon Koppenhaver, opened a cut on the eye of eventual tournament runner-up Tommy Speer in their elimination-round bout. He then locked up a rear-naked choke that an extraordinarily bloody Speer narrowly escaped. A resilient Speer clawed back and eventually used his wrestling to grind out a unanimous decision over War Machine.
He is currently riding a three-fight winning streak, which includes a third-round TKO win over Roger Huerta at Ultimate Warrior Fighting 1. He next fights Ryan Kelsar at Bellator 104 on October 18. His MMA record is 14-4.
