The Golden Bachelor’s Gerry decided to choose Theresa Nist as his wife, much to the disappointment of a sobbing Leslie Fhima. Fans are gutted for the runner-up and compared it to My Best Friend’s Wedding.

Turner told the audience during the finale that he was very happy with his choice. He described ABC star Nist as “a woman who knew how to maintain a relationship” and was shown proposing on bended knee.

He displayed a Neil Lane ring and a golden rose to his fiancee in Costa Rica. Theresa, 70, works as a financial services professional from Shrewsbury and said she’d invite Leslie to their wedding.

The Golden Bachelor wedding date is on January 4, 2024. Their ceremony will air live as their relationship becomes marriage-official, after sending Leslie home packing on November 30.

The Bachelor fans had previously speculated Gerry chose Leslie based on a TikTok video. She had a hometown visit with Gerry, which was filmed on August 21, just two days after a co-star’s date.

However, they were proven wrong when he got down on one knee to Theresa. It was announced Gerry and Theresa would be getting married on live television during the After The Final Rose ceremony.
