As the wedding took place nearly 25 years ago, only black & white photos of the event are available. One such photo was shared by the reality TV star via her Twitter account in 2023.
Sonja and John first met at the Italian restaurant San Pietro located on Madison Avenue in the mid-1990s. At the time, Sonja worked as a hostess at the restaurant, whereas John was a guest.
The couple ran into each other again in Aspen following which they went on a dinner together. Soon after their first date, John proposed to her marriage and the two eventually tied their nuptials in 1998.
