TLC star Kathy Crispino got bad news from her doctor, but has yet to tell her children. Yet, Cristina has a bad feeling there’s something wrong.
Kathy from sMothered’s ‘illness’
Kathy Crispino from TLC’s sMothered reveals she has an illness which she hasn’t told her children about. Kathy received bad news from her doctor and wants to plan her funeral party, and sMothered fans wonder what’s wrong.
She said in a confessional: “It’s not good news, it’s not news that you want to get at this stage of this game. At some point, I will have to tell my kids and I’m just not ready to do that yet.”
Kathy also revealed: “You don’t want to have to start dealing with what I’m going to have to deal with.” She is now determined to celebrate her 65th birthday at a funeral home for a “living funeral.”
Cristina knows something is up
Smothered star Cristina has a feeling that something is not right with her mother. She said: “In my head, I’m thinking, ‘You want to plan your last party? Is there something you’re not telling me?'”
She added “those words can’t come out of her mouth” because she “can’t face the answer”. Cristina is “scared one day [‘she’ll] pick her up and [she won’t] be in her heels,” she continued.
Getting emotional, Cristina said picking her mom up without her “wearing some ridiculous, flamboyant outfit with heels on” would mean “something is seriously wrong or she’s giving up”.
Kathy is convinced genetics are working against her. She told Cristina both her mother and grandmother died at the age of 68, which is concerning for Kathy.
How Kathy Crispino is doing now
Kathy appears to be in good spirits and has been spending the festive season surrounded by her friends. She revealed she’s been “drinking again” as Kathy and her girls smiled wearing matching outfits.
On December 3, she was seen out again, but this time going for “exceptional food” in Cafe Martorano, Florida, during a vacation. She even treated herself to some new Versace heels!
On October 14, sMothered’s Kathy smiled for a birthday celebration surrounded by her loved ones. She wrote: “They say it’s my Birthday! Best friends ever ! I love you all 😘😘😘.”
