Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Perry Phillips and I am from Durham, a small town in Northern California. My goal as a collegiate athlete is to play at the highest level I can and to become a part of the team and the culture, just as I have been able to do in my high school program. My work ethic and passion for the sport I am playing make me unique and separate me from others. I have achieved success in football, basketball, baseball and swimming all because I love what I am doing, I am coachable and I work hard. Coming from a small town and small school, I have had a lot of community and family support, I don't take that for granted and work very hard to make a name for myself will do whatever it takes to get a starting position and leadership role. I have been fortunate to be put in leadership roles in each sport I am in, I appreciate and respect my teammates and coaches, in return, they respect me and look to me in pressure situations to perform and lead. I work hard in every practice and encourage my team to work hard as well, our team is only as good as our weakest player. I have enjoyed sports all my life and look forward to continuing to play in the future.
