Today we celebrate the life of Michael Louis-Pete Tyson. While the loss is grievous and we will miss his presence, we take comfort in knowing that he is resting peacefully in the presence of the Lord our God.
On Friday, September 1st, 2023, Michael entered into his eternal rest in Washington, DC. Michael was born on October 5, 1990 in Norfolk, Virginia to Sharon Louise Tyson-Pete and Louis Pete.
Michael was a graduate of Norview High School (2009) where he participated in the band. He also attended Tidewater Community College in Norfolk, Virginia. He also played in the band at NSU for a short time. He was employed by CVS Pharmacy as a Supervisor. Michael also enjoyed gospel music (Battle of the Bands), cooking, spending time with family and friends, and he was an encourager of others. Michael was a peacemaker who avoided conflicts and loved making people laugh.
Michael leaves to treasure his memory: his mother; Sharon Louise Tyson-Pete, father; Louis Pete (Rose Marie), Siblings; Jimmy Oliver and Patricia Pete, Special sisters and brothers; Erica Tyson, Lynntrese Joyner (Aaron), Tiffany Tyson, Tia Tyson, Eric Tyson, Javon Collier, Linwood White, Rakeeem Tyson, Aaron Vaughan and Capria Tyson, Uncles; Marvin Best (Annie), Ronnie Poole, Johnnie Earl Tyson (Shirley), Michael Tyson (Sherry), Eric Tyson (Melvina), Rickey Tyson (Tina), Aunts; Janice Mae Tyson, Wendy Tyson, Stephanie Bland and Wanda Britt, and special friend, Esteban A. Zamarripa, and a host of great uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
