Married At First Sight UK fans have tagged along for the rollercoaster ride that has been series 8 this year. After a grand total of 34 episodes have aired, viewers are set to get a double whammy when it comes to the show’s 2023 reunion. There’s a shock on everyone’s faces during filming as some of the participants arrive single – when their MAFS UK co-stars last saw them they were coupled up.
Tears have been shed over unfortunate marriage breakdowns, and arguments had over “flirting” and “kissing” rumors. The second installment of Married At First Sight UK‘s reunion airs on November 16 and it should finally give some couples the closure they need after the experiment.
When was MAFS UK reunion filmed 2023?
Filming for Married At First Sight UK series 8 began in February this year, reports The Sun.
An insider revealed the E4 show’s reunion was taped back in July.
Speaking on the MAFS Hysteria podcast’s October 20 episode, Shona Manderson gave an insight into the show’s filming dates.
She explained that filming seemed a long time ago now: “I got sent home at the end of April.”
Speaking of her relationship on the show, she added: “We left the show three weeks in, it got really bad really quick.”
She and Brad Skelly gave their relationship a go in the outside world for “five or six weeks,” but things didn’t work out.
Shona added that she went to Sri Lanka at the beginning of June and “went back to the reunion with a great tan.”
Reunion airs in two parts
MAFS UK aired its final stages of the experiment in episode 34 which saw the couples reading their vows to one another.
Episodes 35 and 36 see parts one and two of the explosive reunions play out.
The reunion kicks off on Wednesday, November 15, and the second and final part of the show airs on Thursday, November 16.
Commenting on the reunion episodes, one fan said they screamed “drama,” and another wrote: “I’m back watching #MAFSUK for the reunion party and I can already feel my blood pressure rising with rage.”
