Personal Statement
My name is Joshua Maize and I am a current Sophomore at Deerfield High School. I spent my first two seasons playing football at Niles Notre Dame High School for boys. I am looking to play at the next level for program that is known for its excellence. I also want to play for an elite coaching staff that consistently sends players to the next level. That being said, playing time is also a deciding factor for me so that I could one day play football at the highest level. While I would prefer to attend a school with good academics, it is not a deciding factor.
At Notre Dame High School for boys this past year I had 54 tackles and 14.5 sacks. After the season Elite Sports Network honored me with being named 2nd team All Midwest at Defensive End. I am dedicated to continue to improve so that I can excel at the next level. This upcoming season at Deerfield High School, I hope to lead us to the state playoffs and beyond. For the upcoming two years I will be moving all around the field, making a difference on the Defensive Line, as a Wide Reciever/Tight End, and at both Inside and Outside Linebacker. It is this selflessness and versatility that I can provide to any college program, I can excel anywhere on the field, for any coach, at any school. Thanks for reading.
