Gwyneth Lee's Softball Recruiting Profile

Personal Statement

For anyone who has ever been passionate about being the best at something, whether it is athletics, music, theatre, medicine or any number of other endeavors, they will never give less than their best to achieve their goals!

My ambition is to follow a university which combines my two favorite desires in life, Softball and Nursing.  This allows me to achieve my career goal of working in a medical field and playing my lifelong softball dream in college.

Throughout my life I have been a keen sportswoman, playing softball and soccer. My passion for softball began when I joined a local team in South Carolina. I developed skills and have advanced my skills tremendously by being chosen to play travel softball programs throughout Georgia where I live now. I had the pleasure in being chosen to play for the local all-star team my first year in my local softball organization.

My personal characteristics of compassion, integrity, persistence and intelligence make me an ideal candidate for any softball program. I strive to have excellent skills in leadership, sportsmanship and overall dedication.  I have wanted to play for a Professional Softball team since I began playing softball, something I pride myself on doing. I continue to push myself to be in with the top athletes one day.

I have had the ambition to become a nurse since I was in sixth grade. I was inspired to enter the field of medicine when my mom was diagnosed with a rare case of trigeminal neuralgia. Also being that my mom is a nurse, I have learned more about the field of medicine and will never forget the impact this had on my life.

As I learn more about medicine, I think that I am most suited for the specialty of Pediatric Oncology. I am extremely interested in this field because of the care I could give to someone. I have the desire of caring for someone with medical needs because of the support I have given to my mom, I have an empathetic and nurturing sprit and heart.

“At this point, I almost believe that if I’m determined enough, I just might grow another inch or two.”

Sincerely,

Gwyneth Lee
