Comedian Nikki Glaser is the host tasked with asking the show’s contestants to reveal themselves as FBoys or nice guys. Of the 21 FBoy Island male inhabitants, they “all look like FBoys” but not all of them are there to snag themselves a cash prize, some are actually looking for long-lasting love.
What is an FBoy on FBoy Island?
The term FBoy has managed to worm its way into regular chat these days.
While the basic understanding of what the phrase means may be common knowledge to most, others may not have heard it before.
Plus, its use on FBoy Island is slightly different from its general meaning in everyday life.
In the regular world, an FBoy is commonly known as a “f*** boy” which is described as being a male who is only interested in hooking up rather than a meaningful relationship.
On FBoy Island, the term describes the contestants who are appearing on the show solely to bag themselves a cash prize. They may pose as nice guys to deceive their way to the prize fund.
Of the 21 contestants taking part in FBoy Island season 3, some are FBoys while others are self-proclaimed nice guys. The three women appearing in the series have their work cut out to decide who is who.

What island is the show filmed on?
We hate to burst anyone’s bubble, but FBoy Island isn’t actually a real place.
The location used for the show is different from seasons 1 and 2. The CW series was previously filmed in the Cayman Islands and Mexico.
However, season 3 was filmed in Los Angeles, California. Palm Beach Post writes season 3’s filming spot is a “major step down.”
Is FBoy Island scripted?
FBoy Island is an unscripted reality TV series.
Speaking to Showbiz CheatSheet, host Nikki Glaser explained while the concept may seem “dumb,” the show isn’t “fake.”
She adds: “I saw the casting tapes. These people leave the island devastated or in love. It really does happen.”
A season 1 cast member, Sarah Emig, also explained to E! News that the show was “completely unscripted… and designed to mimic the real-world dating scene.”
