Damarius L. Odom – Metropolitan Funeral

Damarius Lafonte Odom was a native of Chesapeake, Virginia, born May 27,1998, in Chesapeake, VA, to Sonya Odom and Ronnell Flowers. Damarius graduated from Hopewell High School and went on to further his education at St. Augustine College, Raleigh, North Carolina, where he majored in Business Management.

Damarius was a truck driver for Enidan Enterprises, LLC., and went on to chase his dream to acquire his CDLA credentials as a student at Shippers Choice Trucking School.

He had a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. Damarius comes from a very tight knit family where he was the protector of us all, the gentle giant to his siblings and the big brother to his baby brother, Jesiah; they were closer than most. To know Damarius was to love Damarius, one of the smartest, hardworking, family-oriented people you could ever meet. He was always a very quiet, laid-back reserved person, with a smile that would brighten anyone’s day, which will be immensely missed by so many. He had a passion for sports while football was his thing. He loved and knew the sport inside and out. The Minnesota Vikings was his favorite team. Although Damarius didn’t have children of his own, he had a love for all children, one being his nephew Jo’Mir, whom he treated as his own.

We love and knew him as Damarius even Bro-Bro while others cherished his persona with a plethora of names that grew on us all such as Marcy, Dee, and OD.

Damarius was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Joyce Ann Odom and Linda Carey, great-grandmothers, Julia Ann Robinson and Melvine Yvonne Wyatt-Norman, grandfather, Antonio Kipland Norman, and cousin, Alfred Montrelle Robinson.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mom, Sonya Odom (Harold), father, Ronnell Flowers, seven sisters, Joyce Odom, Shanique Flowers, Essence Odom, Ronnetta Sullivan, Deliasia Flowers, ShyKeara Deering, Endia Flowers: four brothers, Jesiah Flowers, Levonte Sullivan, Devonte Sullivan, Torrion Lee, great grandfather, General D. Norman, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and a very special friend Jakeria Williams.
