INCHON, South Korea (Reuters) -- A goal four minutes from time gave Costa Rica a 1-1 draw with Turkey in the World Cup on Sunday, ensuring that group C leaders Brazil reach the last 16 before they play their final group match.
Parks pounced on a loose ball in the goalmouth in the 86th minute, just nine minutes after coming on as substitute, and slammed it gleefully into the net.
Turkey had seemed to be heading for victory after Emre Belozoglu gave them the lead in the 56th minute, forcing the ball home at his second attempt.
Brazil top the group on six points from Costa Rica on four with Turkey on one and China none. Turkey face twice-beaten and eliminated China in their last game while the Central Americans meet Brazil.
In the first half, Costa Rica and Turkey produced few scoring opportunities during the nervous group C clash.

The first 20 minutes saw just two clear chances. Costa Rica striker Paulo Wanchope went close in the ninth minute when he volleyed just over the bar, while Turkish defender Umit Ozat hit a 20-metre free kick wide three minutes later.
Costa Rica midfielder Walter Centeno then had the best opening of the half but fired over the bar from the right of the box in the 34th minute.
Nerves dominated as Turkey defender Emre Asik and midfielder Tugay Kerimoglu plus Costa Rica defenders Gilberto Martinez and Carlos Castro were all shown yellow cards.
Turkey coach Senol Gunes brought in Emre Asik and Ergun Penbe to replace suspended duo Alpay Ozalan and Hakan Unsal for Sunday's World Cup group C game against Costa Rica.
Emre Asik slotted in at left back in place of Alpay while Ergun covered the left midfield area vacated by Hakan Unsal following the two red cards received in the opening defeat by Brazil.
Gunes also made one unforced change, bringing in AC Milan's Umit Davala to bolster a five-man midfield. He came in for Bulent Korkmaz, whom he replaced after 66 minutes of the opening game.
The Turks looked to their creative midfield trio of Yildiray Basturk, Hasan Sas, so impressive against Brazil, and Emre Belozoglu to provide the ammunition for lone striker Hakan Sukur.
As expected, striker Paulo Wanchope started for Costa Rica despite undergoing treatment for a long-standing knee injury, partnering Ronald Gomez, a scorer in the opening 2-0 win over China.
