Landon is an American former professional soccer player. He was born on March 4, 1982, in Ontario, California, to Donna Kenney-Cash and Tim Donovan.
He has a twin sister Tristan and an elder brother. He played organized football at the age of 6 years old and scored seven goals in his first match.
The 40-year-old represented the United States of America in the 2002, 2006, and 2010 Fifa World Cup. He was also named in the preliminary squad for the 2014 Fifa World Cup for the team USA but was omitted at the last moment from the final team members.
In his league career, Donovan mostly played for LA Galaxy from 2005 until 2014. However, he started his career with Bayer Leverkusen II and later joined their main squad Bayer Leverkusen.
In his time with LA Galaxy, he was loaned to FC Bayern Munich and played Bundesliga with the team. He played in English Premiere League with Everton on loan from LA Galaxy.
Landon is the co-founder and vice-president of San Diego Loyal SC. He also serves Lincoln City as a strategy advisor in his post-playing football career.
