Atlanta weather forecast | Live Updates

11Alive is tracking the latest weather developments as storms move in.

ATLANTA — Showers and storms are moving through metro Atlanta, causing flooding in some parts.

Following the rain and thunderstorms overnight, many areas are experiencing more flooding and it is causing road closures.

There may be some showers and thundershowers on Tuesday, but they are expected to be weaker than Monday's storms. Showers and storms will more than likely come in the early hours of Tuesday, but most areas will remain dry.

Scattered areas of rain are anticipated to appear by 2 or 3 p.m. and become more widespread as the day progresses. Although there is a possibility that a stray storm may intensify and cause severe weather conditions, the overall risk is expected to be very low. Showers will return Tuesday night.
