Personal Statement
I am a junior at Red Bank Catholic High School located in Red Bank, New Jersey. I believe that I uphold the qualities of a great student athlete through my academic and athletic achievements.
I value my education above all else and hold my grades to the utmost importance. I currently have a 4.58 GPA, ranking as one of the top students in my class through my achievements in honors and AP level courses. As well as pursuing my academics I am involved in two varsity sports, hold the position of president in my school club, and participate in many community service opportunities.
I have been a varsity soccer player and sprinter since my freshman year at Red Bank Catholic. My love for track began in middle school, and flourished as I began to compete at the high school level. The two main events that I compete in are the 400 hurdles and the 4x400 meter relay. The hurdles have widened my appreciation for the details and concentration needed in perfecting an event. The 4x400 meter relay has increased my love for the true team atmosphere that track and field contains.
I hope to pursue my love for track and field at a competitive level as well as my love for learning, and I believe I hold the qualities of a great candidate to do so.
