Personal Statement
Hi coaches! My name is Zoe Lam and I am a sophomore at Moorestown High School.
I began playing soccer when I was 5 years old. I currently play on the Academy team at Medford Strikers Soccer Club, which is ranked 4th in the state in our EDP National League conference. I also play for the NJ ODP state team, as well as for the Moorestown High School varsity soccer team on which I was a starter as a freshman and a sophomore. Playing for three soccer teams this year as well as running track and keeping a 3.5 GPA has helped me to realize the effort and determination it takes to play college soccer and that I have the abilities to do so.
I also enjoy giving back to the soccer community. I currently volunteer for the Futures Program held by the Moorestown Soccer Club, where I assist professional trainers in organizing and teaching 6-9 year old's fundamental soccer skills. Additionally, I have volunteered for TOP Soccer, a program designed to bring soccer to children with mental or physical disabilities.
