Personal Statement
My name is Zachary D. LaRocca and I have been playing soccer for 12 years. I am currently a 17 year old senior at North Paulding High School in Dallas, GA. With a GPA of 3.2 (weighted 3.5). I have played club soccer for SSA (Southern Soccer Academy- Chelsea) for the last 5 years and have recently moved from a level 4 team to level 2 for the Fall 2017 season. I play right back and center back, but I can be played anywhere on the field if needed. I love soccer and I am interested in playing soccer at the collegiate level after graduating High School spring of 2018.
Throughout my 12 years of playing soccer, I have gone through injuries and set backs that have made myself push harder and harder each game I’ve been back. During a highschool game sophomore year, I suffered a concussion and was unable to play the rest of my sophomore year. Coming back from this setback has made me work harder than ever before and pushes me to play the very best I could to make up for the games I missed. I have overcome the injuries and setbacks and now strive to push myself to be the best. The injuries I’ve faced have given me the mentality to push harder, faster, and longer than anyone else to overcome the problems of the past and to give me a boost in my play for future appearances on the field.
