Revelations surrounding the case have brought the spotlight onto the compelling evidence presented through YNW Melly’s crime scene photos.

Based on the latest revelation, the prosecution has presented crime scene photos they claim prove Melly was the gunman.

Miramar Police Department gathered images during the investigation, which were presented during a bail hearing for Cortlen Henry, Melly’s co-defendant, on October 24.

The prosecution claims the pictures reveal the positions of .40 caliber shell casings found by the police and the bullet trajectories inside the vehicle.

How the Crime Took Place?

According to investigators, the pictures illustrate how all four men were seated in the car when the crime happened. Police believe that Melly shot into the car where they were seated on October 26, 2018.

Afterward, he and Henry concocted a plan to cover up the crime.

The duo claimed that Thomas Williams and were victims of a drive-by shooting, and Henry later dropped the bodies off at the hospital, blaming a random shooter.

Investigators disbelieve Henry’s story and staged the crime scene. Ballistics tests show that most of the shooting came from inside the vehicle, disproving Henry’s version.

Therefore, the Miramar Police Department claims that YNW Melly staged the scene with the aid of Henry. They also used cellphone tracking data to prove Melly’s presence at the crime scene at the right moment.

On the other hand, the YNW Melly crime scene photos were given at the court hearing to demonstrate why Henry should be denied bail until trial.

The photos are intended to prove that Henry participated in Melly’s crime and is therefore, also guilty of murder.

The Arrest

Initially, Cortlen Henry showed up in a Miami-area hospital claiming his friends had been injured in a drive-by shooting in October 2018.

Regrettably, both young men were dead. The police discovered the victims had been shot in the car, and there was no evidence to show that a drive-by shooting had taken place.

As an up-and-coming rapper, the arrest of Jamell Demons, aka YNW Melly, has drawn a lot of attention from the media and his fans.

More information reveals that the victims were also aspiring rappers who frequently performed with Demons. They were part of his YNW collective, which he frequently mentions in his music.

After the group had left a recording studio in Fort Lauderdale, surveillance camera footage shows them together in Henry’s car when Henry claimed the shooting took place.

According to Melly’s arrest record, the victims had been shot in the car and not shot at as Henry claimed.
