Amid all of the talk about The Rock, the twists and turns the Road to WrestleMania has taken, the partnership with Seth Rollins and the internet movements, Cody Rhodes joined Michael Cole for an emotional in-ring interview in which he reminded the world of what he is fighting for on April 6-7 in Philadelphia.
He dismissed a question about his ability to trust Rollins as his tag team partner and then teared up as he talked about the fans and his family, for whom he will battle Roman Reigns and hope to finish his story by winning the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
There will be some who want to see anger, rage and fury out of Rhodes entering 'Mania, and there is still plenty of time to get to that point. But this was a look at the man who has managed to captivate audiences and get them to go on a year-long ride with him.
