On Monday nights, Maddow, the most well-known personality on the network, will continue to host her show, but Wagner will be in charge of hosting the show at 9 p.m. Pacific Time the other nights of the week.

Despite the fact that Cory Gnazzo, executive producer of The Rachel Maddow Show, is working on Alex Wagner’s show, comparisons are bound to occur. 

In spite of Maddow being featured in promotional materials for the premiere, Wagner stressed that the show would be different.

Formerly the host of the daytime program “Now with Alex Wagner” on MSNBC, she returned to the network in February to assume the role of senior political analyst and guest anchor, succeeding Rachel Maddow in that capacity.

Carl Wagner, Alex’s father, and Tin Swe Thant, his mother, brought Alex up in Washington, D.C., during childhood. 

When she was a small child, they sent her to Woodrow Wilson High School, and later on, they helped her transition to Brown University.
