Personal Statement
I don't just play play basketball, but I want to be a basketball player. I have been playing since I was in 1st grade. I love the game, the concepts and the competition. I feel that if I put in the extra effort that coaches will notice me. I am a defensive specialist, so sometimes others may look over me because I do not make all the big fancy plays. However I do feel that I am a good shooting guard and have talents in shooting 3 balls and driving to the basket. I have good court sense and dont mind taking a charge or two. Ask me how I broke my nose as a freshman play JV/Varsity.
I am a coachable player and listen to my coaches. Sometimes I do not agree with everything they say, but I take the criticism and work hard to improve. I am a quiet leader and the glue that holds the team together.
