Tuff Hedeman: Professional Bull Rider and World Champion
Richard Neale Hedeman, also known as Tuff Hedeman, is a retired professional bull rider who has earned a net worth of $2 million. He won several titles during his career, including three PRCA World Champion titles and one PBR World Champion title. He is also known as the ambassador for Championship Bull Riding.
Tuff grew up in West Texas and was initially interested in racetracks. However, he eventually fell in love with rodeo. He won several titles during his high school years and became a member of the rodeo team at Sul Ross State University, where he participated in bull riding, team roping, and steer wrestling.
He began his professional career in 1983 with the PRCA. Tuff quickly became famous for riding on bulls that had never been ridden before and for his all-or-nothing style of riding. He was also known for being a close friend of Lane Frost and often traveled with him to cut down on costs.
Tuff went on to win three PRCA titles and was later included in the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame. He sustained a neck injury in 1993 that kept him out of most competitions, but he managed to ride the Charbray Bull with a 95 point ride at the National Finals Rodeo that same year. Tuff is currently retired and living a simple life with his wife and two sons.
