Church told a news outlet that there were no other cars on the road at the time of this mysterious encounter.
According to him, the ghost-like translucent figure appears to be a person just casually standing in the roadway.
The six-second clip was captured on a Nexar dashcam designed to record drives for security reasons.
Arizona State Route 87 is a north-to-south highway that was constructed in 1927 and measures approximately 272.66 miles.
Many fatal car accidents have happened on the 96-year-old highway, which has reportedly led some locals to believe that the road could be haunted.

Most viewers believe that the translucent figure captured in the clip is a ghost. Some people shared their personal encounters with such mysterious creatures on Arizona State Route 87.
Other YouTube commenters have speculated that the unknown roadside figure could be a hitchhiker, an animal, a tumbleweed, a reflected road sign, or a trick of a light source.
Earlier this year, a fatal crash occurred on the highway near mile maker 201, two vehicles crashed, and one person died.
