Trey Rodgers's Football Recruiting Profile

Personal Statement

PERSONAL STATEMENT

I'm very excited about starting this next chapter of my life as I begin my college career in 2017 and my journey towards a college degree, with aspirations of competing in college football along the way.  Currently, I am interested in exploring either a career in Physical Education or Information Technology; both of which will position me well for life after football.  But, to be quite honest, I am not completely decided on my exact field of study.

On the field, I plan to continue being a dedicated, hard-working, dynamic player with a positive influence on my team.  As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my college football career, I will strive to be an asset to my coaches and teammates as we work together toward a common goal of winning championships!  Most importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the field, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects on my team, my coaches and the university that I ultimately attend.

I have played multiple positions on the varsity team since my sophomore year (center, offensive tackle/guard, and defensive tackle). After the 2015 season, I was selected as the Offensive Lineman of the Year. I take a lot of pride in being a lineman and absolutely love being down in the trenches, while understanding it’s a thankless position that doesn’t get the glory of a long touchdown run up the middle.  However, I also understand that if the O-Line doesn’t do their job, then the backs and receivers can’t do theirs! My two favorite things about being a lineman are pancake blocks and driving my opponent 5+ yards into submission! They really hate that…

With that said, I’m your guy! I’m committed to being the best and will do whatever it takes. Please take time to watch my highlight videos and feel free to contact me or the Spiro High School coaches regarding any questions.

Thank you for your consideration,

Trey Rodgers

As a personal friend of the family and Trey’s high school coach, I believe I can give a true assessment of the qualities possessed by this young man. I have known him since his birth and have had the pleasure of watching him mature into the man you see today. Trey has been raised by parents who love the land and instill excellent ethics into their children. He has been surrounded by a Christian environment and taught the value of a complete education.

Trey has always been an integral part of his school and class, and is respected by both his teachers and classmates. He has shown great commitment to his studies as well as his teammates. He is has a great work ethic and strives to always get better. I have never heard a bad word uttered about Trey’s character or attitude.

In conclusion, please accept this letter as my best recommendation for Trey Rodgers. He is a young man I respect and admire for his courage and personal walk in life.
