The Only 4 Sales Worth Shopping This Weekend for Up to 40% Off

I’m in my no-spend era — or, at least, I’m trying to be. But as someone whose entire job is to write about shopping and the best things to buy, it’s not super easy. Which is why I’ve made an exception to my rule: If it’s on sale, it doesn’t count. (Can you tell I have next-to-no self-discipline?) So, of course, I started actively looking for sales only to discover I’m about to make that exception… a lot. This weekend, there are four sales you definitely won’t want to miss, including up to 40 percent off fall staples from J.Crew and rare savings on Kate Hudson-used makeup brand, Kjaer Weis. 

Everlane Fall Icons Sale: Up to 30% Off

When it comes to high-quality seasonal basics, Everlane is one of my favorites. The brand, which has been worn by celebrities including Katie Holmes, Meghan Markle, and Angelina Jolie, veers away from come-and-go trends and instead hones in on (and perfects) the flattering, versatile pieces you can wear for years.

And this weekend, a number of its fall staples are up to 30 percent off, including “flattering” and “elegant” straight-leg jeans, the ever-popular Day Glove flats that boast more than 4,900 five-star ratings, and a chic but comfortable dress shoppers say they wear for everything.

J.Crew Passport Private Sale: 40% Off

J.Crew is offering 40 percent off on more than 2,200 of its best-sellers and new fall staples for Passport members. If you’re already a member, all you have to do is sign in, and if you’re not, simply sign up with your email and create a password — it’s free! 

While it might feel a little early to grab your fall coat, now is actually the perfect time (because who knows when it’ll actually be on sale again). I’m eyeing a number of shopper-favorite knits and jackets from this sale, as well as some chic booties.

Madewell Insider Event: Up to 30% Off

As a Madewell obsessee, I’m obviously shopping the brand’s bi-annual Insider Event where pretty much everything (yes, including its newly-launched fall collection!) is 25 percent off for Insiders, and 30 percent off if you’ve reached the Star or Icon level of its loyalty program. Just like J.Crew, if you’re not a Madewell Insider yet, all you have to do is sign up with your email and create a password. 

During Madewell’s site-wide sales, I really like to take advantage of the rarely-discounted pieces, including leather goods and cashmere, as well as its famous denim. But if you’re wanting to hop on top of a few trends at once, the metallic Mary Jane flats an InStyle writer called “buttery soft” is now just $74.

Kjaer Weis Friends and Family Sale: 25% Off

Kjaer Weis — the makeup brand that’s been used by celebrities including Kate Hudson and Emma Watson — just launched its coveted Friends and Family Sale. And now, its entire clean beauty lineup is 25 percent off. With summer over and my tan fading, I’m personally restocking on the brand’s creamy and hydrating bronzer, which looks shockingly natural on my pale skin (I’ve had friends tell me I look tan and mean it) and grabbing the lightweight tinted moisturizer InStyle editors swear by. Kate Hudson’s go-to blush is also on sale, as well as the hydrating serum her makeup artist has used on her for “beautiful glowing skin.”
