Leva Bonaparte can rely on her VIP Team to always get the party started but she had to let one of her team members go when they didn’t know when to stop. The Southern Hospitality star waved goodbye to staff member Lucia Peña in season 2 and the rest of the cast is “sad” to see her go.
Republic Reign owner Leva kicks off Southern Hospitality season 2 by saying she’s about to get stricter with her staff members. In the past, she’s been known as the “friendly” boss. But, now she’s reinforcing the rules. She says: “If there’s insubordination, you’re fired, you’re out of here.” And it looks like she wasn’t joking.
Why does Lucia get fired from Southern Hospitality?
As Southern Hospitality season 2 kicks off its first episode, it’s clear to see that the Republic VIP team is one person down.
Lucia Peña is nowhere to be seen on the Bravo show and the rest of the team address what happened in a meeting.
The former employee had been a “bottle service girl” for many years prior to some of her co-stars joining the business. But, after “drinking on the job,” Lucia was asked to leave.
The single mom defended herself in the show’s flashback saying that it was “just one swig.”
Southern Hospitality star ‘had no warning’
Southern Hospitality season 2 episode 1 flashes back to the moment that Lucia told her fellow cast members that she was fired.
She said she received a text message about her termination reading: “Lucia Peña is no longer employed at Republic Reign” and had “no warning.”
VIP Host Grace Lilly says in the episode: “In honor of Lucia not being here I’m going to light some sage.”
The rest of the group are sad to remember that Lucia has been fired as they all say they “miss” her.

She’s on a ‘happiness journey’
Although Lucia was let go from her position at Republic, she’s still a cast member on Southern Hospitality season 2.
Taking to Instagram on November 4, she shared promo for the Bravo show. Lucia also took to the ‘gram in October to share her cold-pressed organic drinks brand, Sol Sips, with her followers, so it looks like she’s making strides outside of the show in her own career.
Back in August, Lucia celebrated her 35th birthday and shared that she’s on a “happiness journey.”
Despite facing the stress of being let go from Republic, it looks like Lucia manages to turn things around in season 2 and Bravo reveals that her love life also “brightens up,” when a “new boo appears.”
