Shannen and Australian actor Julian McMahon (b. July 27, 1968) met on the set of the “Charmed” TV series. His first appearance was on the 3rd season, “The Honeymoon’s Over” episode, aired on October 5, 2000.
After the first eight episodes on the season (aired between October 5 and December 14, 2000), he would guest star again from episode 13th to 16th, and from 19th to the last one, the 22nd, airing between February 8, 2001 and May 17, 2001.
While filming “Charmed” together, they had a relationship, although he played the romantic interest of Phoebe Halliwell (played by Alyssa Milano, who was having an affair with co-star Brian Krausse at the time, who played the love interest of Holly Marie Combs…). The relationship lasted at least until after the summer of 2001, when they were spotted together at a beach.
They also worked together in the supernatural film “Another Day”, released on December 4, 2001.
Shannen and Julian are on friendly terms and they were spotted hanging together at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival in Utah.
