In the wake of his DWI arrest last weekend, Texas defensive tackle T'Vondre Sweat's outlook for the 2024 NFL draft is uncertain.

Per ESPN's Matt Miller, a majority of teams he's spoken with believe Sweat is going to be a Day 3 pick because of his arrest and "concerns over his playing weight at 366 pounds."

Billy Gates of KXAN.com reported Sweat was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on Sunday. He was released from custody after posting bond.

The Austin Police Department said in a statement provided to Josh Newman of Lone Star Live that Sweat was driving an SUV that was involved in a crash with another vehicle. It was later revealed Texas linebacker S'Maje Burrell was driving the other vehicle.

Burrell was not arrested nor charged with a crime. His vehicle allegedly rear-ended Sweat's SUV and police responded to a call about a crash around 4:41 a.m. local time on Sunday morning.

According to the police affidavit (h/t Newman), Sweat's blood alcohol level was measured at .105 when he was in custody at 6:08 a.m. local time. The legal limit in the state of Texas is .08.

ESPN's Dave Wilson noted a DWI charge in Texas is considered a Class B misdemeanor and carries a fine of up to $2,000 and 180 days in jail.

B/R's NFL Scouting Department has Sweat ranked as the No. 65 overall player in the 2024 draft class. He was not selected in a three-round mock draft posted Wednesday.

Sweat, 22, played five seasons for the Longhorns from 2019 to '23. He was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and won the Outland Trophy as the nation's best interior lineman in 2023.
