Who is Rebeccah Blum?

Rebeccah Blum was a noted art curator, born in 1967 and raised close to Philadelphia. 

After finishing her art history studies at American University in Washington, DC, she moved to San Francisco.

In 1992, she traveled to the German city of Düsseldorf before eventually making her home in Berlin in 1995.

Notably, Blum significantly impacted Berlin’s artistic community by co-founding the non-profit arts organization Base e.V.

She also initiated the independent publishing platform txt.de, among her numerous contributions to the art scene.

Blum played a vital role in Berlin’s artistic landscape, co-founding the non-profit arts organization Base e.V.

She also became a ScheiblerMitte gallery Aurel Scheibler director in 2007 before founding her art management firm, Blum Fine Art Management. I

In addition to this, she supported the Berlin office of publisher Verlag der Kunst, among several other projects.

What happened to Rebeccah?

During the unfortunate event, two individuals, Fletcher and Blum, met at Fletcher’s apartment in Berlin.

However, various media outlets reported a distressing turn of events, suggesting that Fletcher was responsible for taking Blum’s life before ending his own.

Meanwhile, Fletcher’s lifeless body was found at Blum’s country home, further deepening the tragedy and raising numerous unanswered questions.

The circumstances surrounding this tragedy left the authorities and the public seeking answers to the profound loss of two lives and the troubling events that led to such a heartbreaking outcome.

The Rebeccah Blum murder case investigation 

Subsequently, Berlin authorities confirmed they are not seeking anyone else in connection with the case, and numerous reports suggest that Fletcher had a history of mental health challenges.

This unfortunate event underscores the intricate nature of intimate partner violence and underscores the necessity for proactive measures.

The inquiry into the situation unveiled that Blum and Fletcher had an intermittent relationship spanning many years.

Rebeccah Blim murder has left the arts community and her family in deep mourning. 

Julieta Aranda, a friend and colleague from the artistic community, remembered Blum as “a woman with a name, a profession, a rich life and a precious smile that we want to share with everyone.” 

Emma Blum, one of Rebeccah’s two daughters, used Instagram to remember her mother.

Whom she described as a committed mother, a ceaselessly inventive cook, and an adventurous and enthusiastic lover of life.
