Creeds (not to be confused with American rock band Creed) is reportedly a solo act held down by a DJ from France. Willy Taconné, as he is also called, does have an internet presence but one that is woefully limited as of the writing of this post some four months after “Push Up” came out on 21 December 2022.

And to note, this track was put out through a label called Rave Alert Records, which is located in Manchester.
Lyrics of “Push Up”
From a lyrical perspective, there really isn’t much going on here. Creeds specializes in styles such as trance, i.e. dance-oriented genres, which have proven especially popular in Europe, whereas repetitive and often simple lyrics are the norm. And in this case, the wording revolves around the vocalist advertising himself to the addressee as having “that good stuff that you want”.

These types of songs are intended to emit a vibe more so than to relay a message. For instance, you have to sorta strain to hear what the computer-generated vocalist in this track is saying to begin with.
The only other line found in this piece besides “I got that good stuff that you want” is “let me be your pusher”. A “pusher” is a colloquial term most commonly associated with drug sellers. It’s safe to presume that there’s plenty of such activity going on within the European dance scene.
But that noted, the lyrics can be taken as being intentionally ambiguous. That is to say that what it is exactly that this song is ‘pushing’ is a matter of personal interpretation. For example, given the quality of the instrumental which, to reiterate, overpowers the vocals, it may be that said ‘pushing’ is a metaphor for encouraging listeners to dance. Indeed, the rhythm of this piece can be used to literally perform pushups, i.e. sporting an energetic pace which one can also exercise to.
