Personal Statement
My goal is to definitely attend, play baseball and graduate from a college/university with a major in sports medicine. I have always viewed myself as a person who is self motivated. I set a goal and do all the little things it will take to achieve that goal. My parents have always told me and have made me believe that everyone has dreams and aspirations but, the few that actually attain these goals are the ones that are willing to stay focused and make the sacrifice.
Academically, I have never really struggled and this is in no small part because whether I believe a subject to be "easy" or "difficult", I believe in giving each and every subject 100%. As some students tend to give a subject only the amount of dedication it requires to "get through" the course, I believe this attitude cripples the potential a person may have. My parents have instilled in me the attitude of always working hard in everything that you do.
Athletically, I take the same approach. I believe that what little success I have had is due mainly in part because of the one belief that I have and that is this, "people may be more talented than me but, no one should work harder than me."
I have also spent many hours of community service helping others through my church, The Greater Houston Church and through Hope Worldwide - Houston.
Thank!
