Projected cuts
- Matt Simms, QB: The Jets simply have no reason to carry four quarterbacks, and Simms has not made a major impression in terms of his abilities as a reliable back-up.
- Ricky Sapp, OLB: The third-year outside linebacker has played just three games, and could still be stashed on the practice squad if the Jets feel there is potential for him to develop.
- Royce Adams, CB: After a jaunt in the AFL in 2010, Adams finally made his way onto an NFL roster in 2012, but missed the season with a knee injury. He hasn't made an impact for the Jets in camp.
