Netflix is serving up a real blast from the past this November as episodes of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County drop on the streaming service. Subscribers who fancy spicy up the winter months with some throwback scenes filled with drama can binge on not one but three seasons of the hit show.
Nowadays, Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari are well-known celebrities. But, there was a time when they were just starting out on MTV. Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County was focused around a group of young teenagers who were attending Laguna Beach High School – this included Lauren, Kristin, and more of their friends and frenemies.
Netflix adds Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County
Reality TV lovers will be pleased to see Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County season 3 has been added to Netflix’s list of shows on November 11.
Now, all three of the show’s seasons are available to stream – a total of 43 episodes.
For those who take a fancy to the series and want to see more from the Los Angeles dwellers, The Hills seasons 1 and 2, which came after Laguna Beach, are also on Netflix.
Laguna Beach features a young Lauren Conrad
TV personality and fashion designer Lauren Conrad is a wife and mom of two boys these days.
The MTV star had just finished her senior year of high school when Laguna Beach was first filmed.
She was 18 years old and starred alongside her best friend, Lo Bosworth, in the series.
Stephen Colletti, Christina Schuller, Talan Torriero, Morgan Olsen, Kristin Cavallari, and Trey Phillips were all original stars of the show, too.
Lauren, Kristin, and Lo all went on to continue their reality TV stardom on MTV’s The Hills.
Netflix show has ‘best soundtrack’
Laguna Beach dropping on Netflix has some fans joking about the throwback being added to the streaming site.
One tweeted: “Looks like it’s time for the old VHS library with titles like today.”
Some older tweets about the series show how loved it is by viewers. Some think that the MTV show has one of the “best soundtracks” going.
They wrote: “Laguna Beach the real Orange County has the best soundtrack for a TV show HANDS DOWN.”
Many Hilary Duff fans will be pleased to see Laguna Beach making a Netflix revival this year.
One tweeted about the singer’s 2003 hit Come Clean: “I like this song since it became the theme song for the MTV Series Laguna Beach, it’s so iconic and still memorable to this day.”
Judging by one fan’s tweet on X (Twitter), their prayers were answered by the streaming service. They wrote: “Netflix needs to add ALL seasons of Laguna Beach and The Hills. I’m tired of rewatching it and have to switch from Netflix on my TV to MTV on my mac…”
