Eugene Burks, Sr, 84, of 1008 Wilcox Avenue, Portsmouth, Virginia 23704, transitioned on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia.  Born in Stuttgart, Arkansas on January 9, 1936, he was the son of the late Henry Burks and Bertha Burks.  He and his siblings were raised by their mother sister, Aunt Aretha.  After 20 years of faithful and dedicated service in the Navy, he retired in 1970 and became self-employed as…...
