United States Army SSG Wendell Roderick Smith, Jr of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed on to his heavenly rest on 3/23/23 in Columbus, Georgia, at the age of 31. He was affectionately known as Roderick, Rod, Smith, and Dawg by his family, friends, and coworkers. He is survived by his wife, Elle Smith, daughter Averi Nixon-Smith, son Reese Smith, and dog-sons Rambo and Thanos.
