JET Magazine March 16, 1967: "Actress Ena Hartman denied that she is officially engaged to actor Maximilian Schell. Schell himself had said the two planned to marry during an exchange with reporters who saw them together at a star-studded Coconut Grove opening for Mel Torme. "There's no official engagement," Miss Hartman said. "Max just happened to be in a very good mood and the remark was made in an off hand kind of way. We have discussed marriage but we have no plans." The actress, who is under contract to Universal Studios, added that she and Schell have been dating since before Christmas when they met on the Universal lot while there working in separate pictures; she in "Games" and Schell in "The Battle Horns."
