Linda Kasabian’s daughter, Tanya Kasabian, remains silent on her mother’s death.

Linda Kasabian, a member of the infamous “Manson Family” cult, passed away at the age of 73 in Tacoma, Washington.

Kasabian was a key witness in the trial that convicted Charles Manson and his followers for the brutal murders of seven people in Los Angeles in 1969.

Kasabian’s death certificate, obtained by TMZ, stated that she died on January 21, and her body was cremated, but the cause of death was not disclosed.

She had reportedly changed her last name to “Chiochios” in later life to protect her identity after distancing herself from the Manson Family.

During the trial, Kasabian was granted immunity in exchange for her testimony, which helped convict Manson and several members of his cult.

She participated in the two nights of violence that resulted in the murders of seven people in August 1969.

Kasabian testified for 18 days about the murder of Sharon Tate, a pregnant actress, and wife of film director Roman Polanski. Kasabian, along with Charles “Tex” Watson, Patricia Krenwinkel, Susan Atkins, and herself, entered Tate’s home and killed five people.

The other victims were Jay Sebring, a hairdresser; Abigail Folger, an heiress to a coffee fortune; her boyfriend Wojciech Frykowski; and Steven Parent, a friend of Tate’s groundskeeper.

Polanski was not present during the murders, as he was filming a movie in Europe.

Although Kasabian denied taking part in the killings at Tate’s home, she admitted to being the driver on the second night of the attacks, during which Leno and Rosemary LaBianca were also murdered in their home.

Kasabian’s testimony helped secure murder convictions for Manson and the other members of the Manson Family.

Manson died in 2017 while serving a life sentence in prison for his role in the murders.

Kasabian was born in Biddeford, Maine, on June 21, 1949, and reportedly lived in Tacoma with her daughter since the late 1980s. It was reported in 2016 that Kasabian had lived in a “near poverty” state for many years.

In a 2009 interview with Larry King, Kasabian, wearing a disguise to protect her identity, said she had been “on a path of healing and rehabilitation” since the murders.

She claimed to feel guilty about the killings, unlike her former co-conspirators.

Kasabian’s story has also influenced popular culture. The British indie band Kasabian took their name from her, and she was portrayed by Maya Hawke in Quentin Tarantino’s movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019), renamed “Flowerchild.”

Kasabian’s death marks the end of a dark chapter in American history. The Manson Family’s brutal crimes shocked the nation and left a lasting impact on the victims’ families and friends.
