Katharina married Shilo Mazepa on June 15, 2019. Katharina and Shilo had a large wedding ceremony in Spoleto, Italy.
The pair started dating in 2017 after crossing paths in Katharina's hometown of Vienna, Austria. The pair also got engaged the same year after dating for just a few months, Shilo took to his Facebook account to share everything about their engagement in a now-deleted Facebook post.
Shilo and Katharina got engaged in Egypt, the pair spent their day exploring the ancient structures and temples in a hot air balloon before Shilo found his courage and got down on his knee to ask his "best friend" to get married to him.
Fast forward two years, the couple exchanged their wedding vows in Italy in a rather large and lavish ceremony. Katharina wore a beautiful princess wedding gown with a low-neck laced bodice, she carried a white bouquet to match her outfit. Shilo was seen wearing a classic grey tuxedo. Katharina Mazepa Divorce Finalized In April 2023
Katharina and Shilo Mazepa union did not last long as the couple was already separated by 2021.
According to The US Sun, the Austrian model claimed Shilo was abusive towards her and has in fact left her with a black eye and visible bruises after an assault. She also alleged Shilo of spying, stalking, and dropping by her residence unannounced in her divorce claims.
The diplomat is also accused of visiting Katharina's hometown in Austria unannounced when she was there with her new partner to introduce him to her family. Despite being estranged from 2021, the former Miss Vienna only filed for divorce in June 2022.
The US Sun article also reports, Shilo tried to delay the proceeding of the divorce and insisted on getting the couple's therapy first before proceeding with the separation. He also accused the Austrian native of marrying him just for the Greencard and settling in the USA.
However, their case has been settled and Katharina announced the news by bringing her maiden name back on her social media handles. Her Instagram bio currently reads, Whoever said money can’t buy happiness never paid for a divorce.
