Ian Davison is a chef as well as a fishmonger. He is famed as the husband of the celebrity chef Julia Collin Davison.

As per his LinkedIn profile, he worked for Constitution Seafoods from July 2004 to February 2016 for more than eleven years as VP of Sales. He also worked as a Sales Representative at Harbour Food Service Equipment for about seven months from August 2016 to February 2017. He went to Newbury College to study Culinary Arts.

He is not involved in the entertainment industry, unlike his wife who is among the top chefs in America and a co-host of the shows America's Test Kitchen and Cook's Country. According to Harri, he also worked in Constitution Seafoods as an executive chef. He shares a similar interest in cooking with his wife, Julia. 

He is active on Instagram with the username @sgt_schmaltz. He wrote in his bio that he was a New Englander, chef, and fly-fishing obsessed. He reportedly is a fishmonger who is interested in various kinds of fish. His interest in fish can be seen prominently in his social media where he is seen catching different types of fish and is always near beaches and water. 

He has visited George Town, the Cayman Islands, Salisbury, Connecticut, and Monomoy Islands among others to catch different types of fish. It seems that he is very passionate about fishing. He also has an Instagram page dedicated to his custom one-piece fixed-line fly rods. 

Parson's fishmonger, Ian who worked at Constitution Seafood talked about skatefish. In the interview, he stated that he knew the source of everything he bought and only buy items that has all the necessary information related to how the fish was caught, and the country of origin. He also stated that there had been a trend toward sustainability, chefs were conscious of sustainability and asked for a list of sustainable products.
