Judy Ann Shelton – Metropolitan Funeral

Late evening on Monday August 8, 2022, Judy Ann Shelton received her one-way ticket to get on board that evening train to glory. Judy was born to the late James Tilton Alexander and Kay Francis Burrus Alexander on May 27, 1954, in Norfolk VA.

Judy Ann resided in North Carolina for many years where she met her late husband Irving Shelton Jr. Together with her 2 children she and her husband embarked on their new journey. Judy was a free-spirited woman, learning at an early age the means of survival. She was the eldest of 13 and cared deeply for her siblings. For them she sacrificed a lot, paving the way to a brighter future. She was a fun, loving and generous women and it showed through her bubbly personality daily. She returned to Virginia for a few years in 2004 to help care for her mother until she gained her wings, she then continued her journey to her final resting state Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania with her children and grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish in her memory her son James (Bam) Burrus Spencer (Sue). Seven sisters Mary Francis Spencer, Debra Jean Nichols, Katie alexander, Daisy Alexander Gadri, Annie Baker (Theo), Rosemary Alexander, Tonya McKethan (Gil). Two brothers James “Tommy” Alexander and Herbert Lee Alexander (Terry).  6 Grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, 1 aunt MaryJane Owens , 1 uncle Foster Alexander and friends.

Predeceased by her son Nicholas Spencer, daughter Satrina Marie Shelton, sisters Dorothea Ann Burrus and Edna Jones (dec. Preston). Brothers Stanley Bernard Alexander and Wilbert Lee Alexander.
