Jason Isbell ex wife Shonna Tucker is a fellow bassist and songwriter. Jason and Shonna played together for Driveby Trucker.
Shonna was born on February 27, 1978, in Killen, Alabama, United States of America. The 45-year-old started playing Bass at the age of 12 after receiving her first Bass as a gift from her father. Unfortunately, her parents' names have not come to the surface yet.
She joined the American rock band Drive-By Truckers in 2003 and played with the band until 2011. Her departure from the band was announced on the band's Facebook page by Patterson Hood in December 2011.
Since departing from Drive-By Truckers, Tucker joined John Neff and Bo Bedingfield to form a new band named Shonna Tucker and Eye Candy. The band released its first album A Tell All in October 2013.
Shonna also released an extended play Dreams of Mine in 2019 with fellow artist Spooner Oldham.
Apart from her musical career, Shonna is also an enthusiastic cook and has released a series of cooking videos on the Cowboy Camera Youtube channel. The three-part series was released between January 2010 and April 2010.
