Seamus Power's caddie's name is Simon Keelan, and he is the former Monkstown Golf Club Professional and has been caddying for Power since 2019. 

Both the player and caddie are childhood friends. They played grew up in Ireland playing junior golf together. 

Currently, Keelan loops for young prodigy Seamus Power. Their golf careers followed radically different paths for the following 20 years. While Power's way was considerably other, Keelan traveled across "The Pond" for just over three years between early 2007 and April 2010 and worked at the Big Horn GC in Palm Springs, California.

Power, who placed 11th at the U.S. Open last week, is a favorite to win The Open Championship in St. Andrews next month.

The West Waterford (34-year-old) man began playing with the former Monkstown Golf Club pro at the end of 2019, and their strong friendship has helped him tremendously on the course.

The highlight was his first PGA Tour victory in the Barbasol Championship, which earned him a spot in this week's $8.2 million (€7.25 million) Sentry Tournament of Champions.

Keelan had caddied for Power at the Canadian Open earlier that year, and it was there that the seeds were planted for him to go from the LPGA to the PGA Tour.

At TPC Sawgrass, Seamus Power's Cork caddie Simon Keelan produced the week's shot with an incredible backswing at the course's renowned 17th hole. Although Keelan carries Power's bag, on March 20, 2022, he was allowed to compete in the caddy challenge at the spot with the most illustrious name in golf.
