Personal Statement
Having grown up around football, it has always been part of my life. My grandfather and uncles are high school and college football coaches. Starting at 7 yrs-old, I was on the sidelines, practices and locker rooms as a ball-boy for my uncle’s teams. I love just watching football and being around it, learning new concepts, creating my own playbooks. It does not seem like studying to me, watching film relaxes me.
I cannot imagine my life without football as it is what I want to do with the rest of my life. I have been playing since I was six years old and have never wavered in my goal to be a football coach. Whether coaching at the pro, college, or high school level, I am not sure what the future holds but I do know that playing college football is my next step in developing and growing my football knowledge. It is an instrumental part in learning the game especially to be the kind of coach I want to be one day. I consider myself one of the smartest and best decision makers on the field while the physical side is still growing (speed, strength).
