Doris Blackwell Compton was preceded in death by her loving husband, Sargent James O. Compton, her parents, James Blackwell and Ota Smith Blackwell, her daughter, Pam Compton Freeman, her great-grandchild, Paisleigh Olivia Darnell, her siblings, Haskell Blackwell, Herbert Blackwell, Rev. J. N. Blackwell, Rev. Clint Blackwell, Bruce Blackwell, Patricia Clontz, and Lottie Blackwell, and her brother-in-law, Luther Young. Although they have left this world before her, their memories will forever be cherished.

Doris is survived by her children, JoAnn Galloway (Zachary), Linda Compton (Mike), and Ronald Compton, who will continue to carry her legacy forward.
