Personal Statement
Watching the NHL was a huge inspiration for me to start playing hockey as a kid. As a Blackhawks fan, I loved Patrick Kane and aspired to be as good as he is. I started playing AA hockey for the Glen Ellyn Admirals at the 14u level, where I was lucky to have Carla Pentimone as my coach. After two years there, I decided to move to the Naperville Sabres. I believe that playing for the Sabres has made me improve on many levels, especially with speed and stick handling. I am very dedicated and hard working on and off the ice. During games, I tell myself to play every shift like it's the third period. At practices I work as hard as I can to make sure that I get off the ice better at skills than I was before, and I'm a firm believer in practicing how you want to play. I am also a strong leader, and I encourage my teammates to push themselves. This year I will be playing at the 19u level for the Sabres, and I look forward to playing at a faster pace in this new age level.
