Personal Statement
I have been playing basketball since the age of 5. I've always wanted to play at the "next" level. I set high goals for myself. I practice on my own hours on end with anyone who wants to play (age is not a deterrent). I'm driven to succeed. Many coaches have commented to my parents that they enjoy having me because I am a very coachable kid with a high basketball IQ as well as the hardest worker on the team(s). I believe I bring a lot of positive energy and positive emotion to the team(s) I play on.
I work just as hard on my studies as I do on the court. I help with underclassmen on the court in practice as well as assist middle school players during games and practices, encouraging them along and demonstrating a good attitude and positivity.
My goal is to attend a college where I can apply myself in the classroom and on the basketball court. I am open to any and all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the level of competition that best fits me.
