“Boyfriend” by Justin Bieber

This track basically takes the form of a love proposal. Bieber tells a potential girlfriend all he could offer if she accepts him as her boyfriend.
In as much as he’s in love and wishes to date her so badly, he can’t go ahead without seeking her permission. While trying to win her over, Justin draws attention to things that he believes will interest her such as; a guy who would never leave her, a guy who has a lot of money to spend on her, and a guy who has enough swag. This is exactly how the singer presents himself.
Bieber promises this girl an irresistible dream lifestyle where they will travel and always have fun. His repetition of “not letting her go”, suggests that the girl he wants may have been in a bad relationship earlier. As such, he wants to be her knight in shining armor so he can treat her better than anyone else.
