Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift can rest easy knowing there isn't another NFL player and pop-culture star coming for their crown.
In response to speculation that Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud and Amber Rose were dating, the television personality clarified they hadn't met before playing in an HBCU Celebrity Softball Game.
Per Alex Ocho of Complex.com, Rose denied rumors that she was in a relationship with Stroud.
"We literally don't know each other and only met yesterday at a softball game," she wrote on her Instagram Stories. "The sprinter left me and he was nice enough to give me a ride to my hotel thx again @cj7stroud."
TMZ helped spark the rumors by speculating they might be a couple in response to a video that showed them "walking toward the same car together" after the softball game that was played at Minute Maid Park in Houston.

It was noted by TMZ that Rose was "not formally seeing anyone at the moment," but the gossip website also wrote "Stroud is reportedly single too," so it wasn't doing anything to squash the rumors.
Stroud was one of the breakout stars of the 2023 NFL season. He was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year after throwing for 4,108 yards and 23 touchdowns to lead the Texans to the playoffs for the first time since the 2019 season.
